SUSTAINABILITY
Regenerated feathers
Only 1% of feathers used today to make clothing products are regenerated, which means they were previously used as padding in a different product, for example a jacket, pillow or comforter, etc. A portion of the duck and goose feathers in United Colors of Benetton collections are regenerated. After being recovered from the previous products, they’re washed, sterilized, selected and mixed to obtain the right balance between lightness and the ability to retain heat. This process is strictly controlled and certified. It can be repeated infinitely, powering the virtuous cycle of recovery and reuse.
